* Be A Man
* 18+ years of age.
* Believe in a Supreme Being.
* Live an ethical and moral life.
* Have a strong interest in the Fraturnity and desire to participate in its charities and activities.

Is Freemasonry a Religion?

No. Freemasonry does not try to replace or substitute a religion.

Freemasonry is open to men of any faith and our members come from many different religious backgrounds. Freemasonry does require a beleif in a Supreme Being because it is necessary to understand the correct relationship between man and the universe, but proscribe no specific religion or method for relating to that power.

Can women join?

No. Tradition is very important in Freemasonry. There are irregular clandestine lodges that admit women but these lodges are not constituted and are not recognized by the grand lodge. Their practices can vary as they are not regulated. Women cannot join the fraturnity but there are other Masonic groups that are available.

* Order of the Eastern Star - An orginization or Masons and their spouses.
* Rainbow Girls - An orginization for Young Women.
* DeMoley - An orginization for Young Men.

What is with the square and compasses?

Masonry utilizes symbolism in the teaching of lessons. Some symbols or their meanings may be unfamiliar but they are not dangerous or evil. They are used by Masons to remind us of the values we hold close, which include: Faith, Love, Hope, Charity, Friendship, Brotherly Love, Releif, and Truth.

Like many other groups, our lodge meetings are private and open only to members. Our signs are on our buildings

Is Freemasonry a Secret Society?

Freemasonry is a fraturnity with secrets but it is not a secret society.

Like many other groups, our lodge meetings are private and open only to members. And like other orginizations we do not discuss everything that discuss during these meetings. Our lodges are not hidden, their locations are public information and even have signs on the outside.
